Join the team as a Restaurant Manager at Kayak Bar!

We are looking for an energetic, committed and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our team and ensure our guests have the best experience.

What we would like to see is.

  • A team player with a great sense of humor who can create a good atmosphere – yet be assertive when required.
  • Someone who will help make our restaurant and bar even better and make sure everything runs smoothly – streamlining the collaboration between booking, kitchen and floor and optimizing operations.
  • A person who is detail-oriented and punctual with good communication skills (Danish and English), but also a relaxed attitude.
  • Someone who can help develop and implement concepts for increased guest satisfaction and business growth.
  • One that ensures compliance with hygiene and safety standards and high gastronomic quality.
  • A competent restaurateur with management experience who can motivate and train a team thoroughly in the system and new procedures/processes.
  • Someone who has a strong financial business acumen.
  • You work in a structured way and have an eye for detail, including in changing weather conditions. This could be optimizing seating, music selection and volume, adjusting the assortment, moving staff between bars, proper signage, placing rain/sun canopies.
  • You will be measured on profitable operations, optimization, good workflows, collaboration skills, motivated staff, customer satisfaction, etc.

It will be a position split approximately 90/10 according to ‘on the floor’/administrative. You must therefore be ready to be a good role model on the floor for and with the team. The days on the quay are very varied, working hours can be spread across all days of the week, but expect your shifts to be primarily on weekends and often evenings. We celebrate Christmas and New Year. The position is full-time.

You will work closely with our Operational Manager and administrative team in the preparation, coordination, etc. of various events such as concerts, meetings, celebrations of life, Christmas parties and our annual events on the quayside – St. Hans on the Water and ‘Lucia in a Kayak’ – and much, much more!
